The Pan-African Journal of Health and Psychological Sciences (PAJHPS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal committed to advancing research and knowledge in public health, psychology, mental health, and allied health sciences. Rooted in a Pan-African vision yet embracing a global perspective, the journal serves as a vital platform for interdisciplinary discourse, empirical research, and evidence-based practice that impact health outcomes, well-being, and policy across diverse populations.

PAJHPS publishes original research articles, theoretical analyses, reviews, brief reports, and community practice notes that explore the intersections of health, psychology, and social well-being. The journal welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, health professionals, and policy advocates both within Africa and globally.

Areas of Interest Include (but are not limited to):

  • Public health systems and health promotion strategies

  • Behavioral and mental health interventions

  • Community psychology and psychosocial support

  • Allied health education and workforce development

  • Psycho-trauma, resilience, and healing

  • Cross-cultural and global health psychology

As a quarterly publication, PAJHPS is issued four times per year and adheres to rigorous peer-review and editorial standards to ensure high-quality, impactful scholarship.

The journal is published by the African Alliance for Research, Advocacy and Innovation (AARAI) and is sustained through institutional support and academic volunteerism, reflecting a deep commitment to equitable access to scientific knowledge.
